It is with deep sadness that the EspeRare Foundation announces the passing of Ewen Sedman, a member of its Board.
Since EspeRare’s founding, Ewen has supported the Foundation with remarkable generosity, intelligence, and dedication. We will remember him as a deeply compassionate, warm-hearted man who was always attentive to others. His enthusiasm, confidence, and presence meant so much to EspeRare and to all those who had the good fortune to know him and walk alongside him.
Our warmest thoughts go out to his wife Michaela, his family, and all his loved ones.
Carrying on his legacy through Twinkle Box
In tribute to Ewen, his family and the EspeRare Foundation would like to offer those who wish to honour his memory the opportunity to support the Twinkle Box project, an initiative that was particularly close to his heart.
The Twinkle Box was designed to support children and their families facing particularly difficult times, as well as the paediatric palliative care teams who care for them. Developed with the support of psychologists, it includes books, creative activities, and various resources designed to sensitively open up dialogue about emotions, illness, and end-of-life care. Twinkle Boxes are made available free of charge to paediatric palliative care teams.
Through this project, we hope to keep alive the humanity, generosity, and care for others that so deeply defined Ewen.
